Roush is looking for an eager, motivated IT Desktop Technician to join our team. This position is based in Livonia, MI.

Job Summary:

This position will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, Level 1 is provided via a Help Desk, Level Two support can be in the IT Office or at the user’s location. Technician needs to be able to install and configure new hardware and software, and provide technical support to users and customers.       

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 Help Desk Support to the organization
  • Provide Level 2 support on Computers and workstations
  • Install and configure new hardware and software
  • Install and configure corporate standard software
  • Provide hardware support of standard computer equipment including printers and scanners
  • Provide technical support to users and customers on computers and software

Education and Experience (required):

  • Associate degree or equivalent college coursework

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):

  • Be able to answer calls from users and troubleshoot issues
  • Work with a log tracking system to route logs to the proper support group
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of helpdesk support in a windows environment
  • Must be experienced in installation and troubleshooting all currently supported Windows operating systems
  • Must be experienced in installation and troubleshooting all currently supported versions of Microsoft Office
  • Must have proven experience in researching and interpreting technical documentation
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license

Education and Experience (preferred):

  • Computer Support Certification (CompTIA A+)

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred): 

  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Knowledge of Network devices
  • Knowledge of Active Directory

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift computers, monitors, and printers up to 25 LBS
