With the exciting growth in customer base, Roush Products Group, comprised of both Roush Performance and Roush CleanTech, has an immediate need for an experienced Technical Training Manager to join our team! The Technical Training Manager sets the direction and ensures completion of training and training resources for Roush Products Group’s customers, partners, and employees.  In this role, you will manage online and instructor-led training content and delivery.  The Training Manager is responsible for measuring effectiveness and impact of various training initiatives. This position is based in our Livonia, MI facility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team that develops and delivers training content including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Classroom presentations
    • Hands-on technical sessions
    • Video training modules
    • Interactive online courses
  • Develop project plans for delivering new training modules, and managing them to completion on time
  • Build processes to streamline and scale our training efforts, related to development, sign-up, delivery, and reporting
  • Deliver customized training for a variety of audiences, tailored to their needs (sales training, technical service training, employee training, operator/driver training, etc.)
  • Measure and report key metrics that demonstrate the value/effectiveness of our training efforts
  • Analyze learning evaluation data and metrics to diagnose gaps, identify opportunities and implement change to ensure learning portfolio products are current, relevant and delivered in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Travel as needed, up to 30%
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ recent experience with technical training development, adult learning, instructional design and implementing training initiatives
  • Experience with a variety of instructional media including instructor-led, online/digital, and virtual instructor-led training
  • Must have excellent project management, strategic thinking, presentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience with web-based learning management systems, including SCORM compliant solutions
  • Experience with training content authoring tools (ex. Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate, Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Customer focused and driven to ensure a satisfactory service experience for all Roush CleanTech customers
  • Organized and detail oriented to coordinate training sessions at different location across North America
  • High-level computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Technical Training Manager must have the ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automotive technology and/or alternative fuel technology (LPG, CNG, hybrid, electric)
  • Previous certification in training programs, web-based training, or other service-based content training certification
  • Bachelor’s degree
